Xikis went on to point out that field fees at Mitchell Field were one of the major deciding factors in the County losing its last professional soccer team, the Long Island Rough Riders, to St. Anthony’s High School four years ago. He also stated that fees are only part of the problem; availability continues to be a superseding issue. If we have no fields for amateurs to play on, there are no permits to buy.

New York City and the Long Island area represent over 100,000 registered youth and adult soccer athletes. Some ideas that members discussed were the much-needed refurbishment of the County-owned Mitchel-Field stadium complex and surrounding area or unused land in Eisenhower Park. When addressing the crowd Comptroller Maragos stated that by working with organizations such as the LISFL and the ENYSASA, we have a great opportunity of bringing professional soccer back to Nassau, increasing revenue and making our County a better place to live and play.

What turned up to be one of the most exciting final in League history in from of a crowd over 200 fans that came to watch and did not disappoint, Real Caribe took the lead in the first half 1-0 and had numerous chances to add to lead but failed to do so. In the second half BWG Cosmos came out very strong and tied the game 1-1 both teams had opportunities to get the lead but the goalkeepers came up big saves. The game ended 1-1 in regulation but in the Pk’s Real Caribe score all 5 pk’s and BWG Cosmos came up short scoring only 4 of their 5 Pk’s. Congratulations to both teams on a great final.

Coming Up in 2012 it was anounced today by ENYSSA that the winner of the U-23 Final of the LISFL will play the Winner of the North U-23 Division for the ENYSSA State cup

The LISFL, as it was in the beginning….and continues. 

LISFL in the Dr Manning cup after a long drought since 2006, the last team to do so were the NYI Rovers that lost to NY Pancyprians, the NYI Rovers won the cup in 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, Mineola won the Dr Manning 30 years ago, most of the current squad were not even born.  Since 1942 LISFL won 19, Dr Manning State Cup titles

It’s the end of June. The last goal has been scored and the last player has been marked. Junior soccer is over. You think you’ll play in college, but after that, what then?

The “what then” is the LISFL? The Long Island Soccer Football League has been playing soccer since 1948! In fact, you probably don’t know that it was the LISFL that gave birth to the LIJSL. That’s right! To further the growth of soccer on Long Island, the LISFL created the LIJSL to spread the game to Long Island Youth. Judging by how successful they are it was a pretty good idea.

But we did not go away and vanish, we grew as well. We currently have approximately 40 clubs with over 90 teams from all over Long Island and Queens. We are playing soccer every fall and spring with 7 divisions D1, D1 Reserve, D2, D3, Over 30 A&B, Over 40, U-23, we have our own league cups for every division, we play in ENYSSA state cups as well in the USASA national cups, the LISFL won a total of 78 state cups, and 1 national O-30 cup  over the years.

We host the Joe Goldberg indoor tournament, formally the (Pat Ryder tournament) open to all LISFL teams where they compete for cash prices and trophies in three divisions.

During the summer months the LISFL host the Ryder-Vass tournament for the under 23 player which teams play the end of June to the first week of August for the trophy. The winner of this tournament competes for the ENY U-23 state cup tournament

To sum it up, there is life after junior soccer and you can be part of it! All current LISFL clubs welcome the opportunity to look at a new player. It is also possible to add both new clubs to the league as well as new teams. Together, there is no limit to how much we can grow.

Dennis was a good person and friend who played for me for years at Bayside S.C.. He was a family friend who at that time visited our house and we had dinner together as family. ENYSSA CUP COMPETITION

                Any Games not played in the assign date they must be made up within 2-3 weeks.

   DR. MANNING Cup Premier Division  

A. CUP PARTICIPATION RULES

 1. The cup shall be called the Dr. Manning Memorial Cup.

 2. The cup is property of the Eastern New York State Soccer Association

 3. The entire control and management of the competition shall be vested in the Cup Committee, which is to be appointed annually.

 4. The competition shall be MANDATORY for all clubs, which are in good standing and affiliated, directly or indirectly, with this Association.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             5. The cup shall be competed for annually.

6. The Cup Committee may reject the entry of any club with the approval of the General Committee.

7. The Cup Committee shall make a draw for the cup. It shall have the power to make the draw in the early rounds by geographical districts, or otherwise as they deem advisable.

8. Each club, playing in competition, must, prior to game time, notify its opponents of the colors of its uniform. The home team and away team, in addition, must notify each other about the location and direction of the field and, if available, the location of the dressing rooms. If a team cannot get in touch with the other team you must notify the cup supervisor.

B. CUP GAME REGULATIONS

1. No game may start prior to 12:00 NOON except with prior approval of the Cup Commissioner.

2. The games shall start at the scheduled time unless the referee insists on extra time in order that certain existing conditions are rectified.

3. A club responsible for the late start of a cup match may be subject to possible fines at the discretion of the Cup Committee. Referee must wait the 30 minutes before calling game off.

4. Each club must take every precaution to keep grounds in playing condition. If necessary, either club may apply to the Cup Committee Secretary, and the Secretary shall require the referee, or some other authorized person, to examine the grounds and decide as to its fitness for play in sufficient time to save the expense being incurred by unnecessary travel of the club. 

5. Goal nets and corner flags, which are to be at least five (5) feet in height, must be used in all games in the competition.

6. The duration of the match shall be two (2) equal halves of forty-five (45) minutes each. In case of a tie, no overtime Penalty kicks shall be taken in accordance to the Laws of USSF/FIFA.

7. If a match is played to conclusion, it must go into the records as a cup game.

8. If the colors of the two competing teams are identical, or almost identical, the home club must change its uniform. Goalkeepers must wear colors, which distinguish them from other players.

9. Postponed matches must be played within 3 weeks. Eastern New York State Amateur Soccer Association cup matches shall take precedence over all other games except the National Cups conducted under the auspices of the USASA/USSF.

C.   CUP GAME PLAYER REGULATIONS

1. All players participating in any and all games under the jurisdiction of this Association must produce player passes, valid for the current season. The passes must be handed to the referee before the start of the game.

2. Any team, failing to produce player passes, forfeits the game.

3. A player, to be eligible in the semi-final and/or final games, must be registered and roster prior to April 15 of the current seasonal year.

4. A player shall not be allowed to play for more than one (1) competing club, but the players of each representative team may be changed during the series of the games.

5. A player who has been suspended may play in postponed, drawn or replayed matches only after his/her term of suspension has expired.

6. The Cup Committee shall have the power to disqualify any competing clubs, players or player of any competing club, who may have been proved guilty of any breach of any of the rules of this Association.

7. Clubs shall be permitted to use (7) substitutes in each game at any time during the game. No re-substitution shall be allowed. Substitutes are required to report to the referee when entering the field with their player passes.

8. Players ordered off the field by the referee cannot be substituted for.

9. A player, suspended by his/her league, is not eligible to participate in cup games while under suspension.

D. CUP GAME REFEREES

1. The referee appointed to the match shall not be, nor have been in the past a member of either of the competing teams. The club on whose grounds the match takes place shall pay the fee and traveling expenses of all officials appointed by the Cup Committee to any match prior to the final match.

2. The referee shall have the power to decide as to the fitness of the grounds. The Laws of the Game define the duties of the referee and linesmen.

3. If the appointed referee fails to fulfill his/her engagement the captains of the competing teams must agree upon a referee for the game. Where there are official linesmen, the first linesman shall take charge of the game. The same provision will apply in case a referee is taken sick during a match.

4. The referee shall have the power during the game to deal with players guilty of violent conduct, of on using threatening or abusive language. The referee shall forward the name of the offender, together with the pass to the Cup Commissioner within 48 hours.

5. If a referee, without proper notice to the Cup Committee, is absent from a game to which the referee has been appointed then the referee shall be liable for punishment.

6. Where a game is postponed, the referee, upon appearance, shall be entitled to his/her expenses. In case of forfeited games, the referee, upon appearance, shall be entitled to his/her full fee and expenses.

7. The referee shall forward to the Cup Committee the result of each match played, a list of players participating therein, and all particulars pertaining to the match within two (2) days after the game.

 E. APPEALS, DISPUTES, AND PROTESTS OF CUP GAMES

1. Disputes and protests, as well as questions relating to the qualifications of competitors, or to the interpretation of the rules, shall be referred to the Cup Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding on both clubs. Every protest must be made in writing and must specify the basis on which it is lodged. Two (2) copies of the protest must be submitted to the Cup Committee by e-mail, or mail accompanied by the appropriate fee within three (3) days after the match to which it relates. Also e-mail followed by check within 3 days is expectable                                                                                   

3. Any protest relating to the grounds, goal posts or other appurtenances of the game shall not be entertained by the Cup Committee (unless an objection has been lodged with the referee before the commencement of the match.) The referee shall require the responsible club to remove the cause of the objection, if this is possible, without unduly delaying the progress of the match.

4. The secretary of the protesting club shall send or e-mail a copy of the protest, by certified or registered mail, to the club protested against. Each club may support its case by bringing witnesses to the hearing, if such is required.

5. If a member of the Cup Committee is connected with either of the clubs involved in the dispute or protest, then the member shall absent himself/herself while the dispute or protest is being considered. An attorney shall not represent a club at the hearing of a dispute or protest, unless said attorney is a bona-fide member of the club concerned.

6. When an appeal is made and upheld, the Cup Committee may order the match to be played elsewhere.

7. If such an appeal is not sustained, the complaining club may be called upon to pay the expenses incurred in arriving at the decision.

8. A protest fee of $300.00 MUST be included with the protest.

F. CUP GAMES WITHDRAWAL AND NON-APPEARANCE

1. Any club, intending to withdraw from the cup competition must give information of its intention to the Cup Committee and the Secretary of the opposing club not less than five (5) days before the date fixed for the playing of the match. Such notification must be forward by either e-mail or mail.

2.       A club failing to comply with this rule shall be reported to the Cup Committee, which shall have the power to either compel such offending club to pay the expenses incurred by its opponent, or to such action, as it may deem necessary.

3.       Visiting teams, failing to appear for a scheduled Cup game, shall pay expenses for the referee fees, marking of the field and field rental. Home teams, failing to appear for a scheduled Cup Game, must pay the referee fee and the traveling expense for the visiting team. The traveling expense cannot be higher than the lowest expense incurred by public transportation.

 4.     If a club failed to fulfill its obligations in previous competitions, the Cup and/or Games Committee can request a performance bond.

G. CUP GAMES AND TROPHY AWARDS

1. This Association shall present suitable awards to the finalists of the Cup competition.

H. CUP GAMES MISCELLANEOUS

1. The Cup Committee shall decide the grounds for the final matches and shall have direct control of all arrangements connected with these matches. In the event of tied games, replays, extra time, the Cup Committee shall take such action, as they may deem necessary.

2. All notices (required to be given) to this Association, as prescribed by any of these rules, shall be addresses to the Chairperson of the Cup Committee.

3. Players who have participated in the Jack Flamhaft or Livio D’Arpino Fritz Marth

Cup competitions are not permitted to participate in this cup competition during the same season.

4. The Cup Committee, subject to the approval of a majority vote of the General    Committee of this Association, shall have the power to alter or add to the above Cup Rules as it, from time to time, deems to be expedient.

5.  All decisions made by the ENYSSA Cup Committee shall be final and binding.

    JACK FLAMHAFT Cup Divisions 1 & 2  

RULES AND REGULATIONS in additions

to the Dr. Manning Cup Rules

1. The Cup shall be called the Jack Flamhaft Cup.

2. The Cup is the property of Eastern New York State Soccer Association.

3. The entire control and management of the competition shall be vested in the ENYSASA. Cup Committee.

4. The rules governing the competition shall be the same as those governing the Doctor Manning Memorial Cup EXCEPT that no match may start prior to

10:00 A.M. without approval of the Cup Commissioner.

5. Players who have participated in the Doctor Manning Memorial Cup games, Livio D’Arpino and Fritz Marth (are not permitted to participate in this cup competition during the same season.)

This cup is open to all teams of the First and Second Divisions.

6. SEVEN (7) substitutes in and out shall be permitted.

   D’ARPINO Cup Division 3 and Reserve  

RULES AND REGULATIONS in additions

to the Dr. Manning Cup Rules

1. The Cup shall be called the Livio D’Arpino Cup.

2. The Cup is the property of the Eastern New York State Soccer Association.

3. The entire control and management of the competition shall be vested in the ENYSSA. Cup Committee, to be appointed annually.

4. The rules governing the competition shall be the same as those governing the Doctor Manning Memorial Cup EXCEPT that no game may start prior to 10:00 A.M. without approval of the Cup Commissioner and Seven (7) substitutes in and out shall be permitted.

5. The Cup shall be open to 3^rd and Reserve or any lower Divisions.

6. Players who have participated in National Cup Competition games, the Dr. Manning Memorial Cup games, the Jack Flamhaft Cup games, or Fritz Marth (are not permitted to participate in this cup competition during the same season.)

7. The number of teams, representing each league, and the teams eligible to participate, shall be determined annually, with the approval of the General Committee.

8.  All Players MUST be registered in a gold colored passes or they will not be allowed to participate in this cup

   LOMBARDO Cup Women  

RULES AND REGULATIONS in additions

to the Dr. Manning Cup Rules

1. The Cup shall be called the ENYSSA Women’s Cup.

2. The Cup is the property of the Eastern New York State Soccer Association.

3. The entire control and management of the competition shall be vested in the ENYSSA Cup Committee.

4. The rules governing the competition shall be the same as those governing the Doctor Manning Memorial Cup EXCEPT no match may start prior to 10:00 A.M. without approval of the Cup Commissioner and SEVEN (7) substitutes in and out shall be permitted.

5. The Cup shall be open to all women teams only.

6. The number of teams, representing each league, and the teams eligible to participate, shall be determined annually, with the approval of the General Committee.

7. A player, to be eligible in the semi-final and/or final games, must be registered and roster prior to May15th of the current seasonal year.

   Fritz Marth Cup O-30 Men  

RULES AND REGULATIONS in additions

to the Dr. Manning Cup Rules

1. The Cup shall be called the Fritz Marth Men’s Over-30 Cup.

2. The Cup is the property of the Eastern New York State Soccer Association.

3. The entire control and management of the competition shall be vested in the ENYSSA Cup Committee.

4. The rules governing the competition shall be the same as those governing the Doctor Manning Memorial Cup EXCEPT no match may start prior to 9:00 A.M. (PLEASE TRY TO CONSIDER THE TIME FOR TEAMS TRAVELING A LONG DISTANCES) without approval of the Cup Commissioner.

SEVEN (7) substitutes and in and out shall be permitted.

4. The Cup shall be open to representative, selected all-star teams, of each League, affiliated with this Association.

5. It shall be competed for at times to be determined (by the Games Committee of this Association, with the approval of the General Committee.)

6. Players who have represented one League during the competition for this Cup, during a current season, (shall not be eligible to represent another League, during the same season, in this competition.)

7. The opponents of this Cup competition shall be determined by a draw, made by the Games Committee of this Association.

8. All other rules governing this competition shall be the same as those governing the Dr. Manning Memorial Cup.

OCEANSIDE, N.Y. -- The Oceanside United Soccer Club and the Eastern New York soccer community got together on Saturday, Sept. 26 to say thank you to one of its pioneers of the game.

Joe Goldberg, one of the co-founders of the club along with Ian McDougall in 1962, was honored by the Long Island Junior Soccer League club at a special dinner at the Oceanside Jewish Center.

Friends and even some foes came out to laud Goldberg, who, along with his wife, Miriam, has moved from their Oceanside home where he lived for 52 years and moved to Connecticut to be closer to their daughter.

"Joe Goldberg had a significant influence in the lives of many people here tonight," said McDougall, who remembers how Goldberg used "his honesty, integrity and his sheer determination to overcome adversity."

McDougall wasn’t alone talking about the 82-year-old Goldberg.

"After his family, his reason for being was soccer," Long Island Soccer Football League president Bruce Friedman said. "His contributions could never be mentioned."

"Everybody knows him," Eastern New York State Amateur Soccer Association president Mario Treglia said. "They all respected you because he is an institution."

"If you know Joe, he would probably say, ’I don’t now what all the fuss is about,’ " said Joe Bussa, the LIJSL’s ENYYSA district commissioner.

The fuss was about a lot of things.

A former player who was born in Czechoslovakia, Goldberg became a soccer administrator, coach, referee, one of the founders of Soccer Week, the weekly publication that gave the sports’ supporters information about the beautiful game before the advent of the internet, among many other roles and responsibilities.

"Joe was always about the kids," said Mike D’Ambrosio, a former Oceanside player who is the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association registrar.

"For Joe, it’s the number of people’s lives who he touched," D’Ambrsio said. "Joe gave them a place to play. Joe would pick you up in his van, feed you -- forget about risk management -- and bring you home."

Goldberg did it all, from buying the uniforms -- which were used over and over again by several teams to save money -- to washing them.

Oceanside United S.C. was created before the LIJSL as we know today some 48 years ago. Looking for competition, the club turned its sights on the German-American Soccer League in New York City, which is probably better known as the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League today.

Ben Boehm, the youth director of B.W. Gottschee, which played against Oceanside, remembered what it was like coming to Long Island.

"We were coming to the front, coming to the wild west," he said. "We were playing against American kids who were being schooled in this sport. The only place they could go was the old GASL."

Then there was Oceanside and Goldberg.

Goldberg was a force onto himself. He could be stubborn and never back down from an argument. But he stood fast.

"Joe was like a tornado," Boehm said. "A number of us had arguments with him. But he knew what he wanted to do. He will this organization into existence."

Speaking for many of the former Oceanside players -- more than a dozen showed up for the dinner, Ron Atanasio remembered how he met Goldberg, He was at Oceanside Junior High School watching boys play soccer. He wound up starring at Adelphi University and as a first-round draft pick of the New York Cosmos, enjoying a 10-year professional career.

"These two gentlemen gave me an opportunity to excel in the sport I love," Atanasio said of Goldberg and McDougall. "I can truly tell you this is a unique man. Without the opportunity you had given me, I probably wouldn’t be playing soccer."

Another ex-Oceanside youth player, Bob (Eggy) Ebert, agreed and elaborated. Ebert said he was the first captain of Goldberg’s first team.

"It had nothing to do with my soccer skills," he said. "But Joe saw something in me that no one had seen since."

Dr. Emilio DelPiore, the coach of Oceanside’s Over-30 team, remembered the first time he met Goldberg -- as a five-year-old.

DelPiore wondered why his parents were "leaving me with this crazy Czech guy with orange and blue jerseys and why did he kick my shins to make sure I had shin guards on?"

Goldberg wasn’t just a mentor for players, but for coaches as well.

Oceanside S.C. president Steve Padaetz, who once coached intramural soccer, remembered when he had to visit Goldberg’s home and see the administrator’s basement to get Oceanside S.C. patches for an intramural soccer tournament. Padaetz called the basement the "inner sanctum" because the basement was a soccer museum, comprised of trophies, banners, patches, newspaper clippings and other soccer memorabilia.

"This was a rite of passage," Padaetz said.

Indeed.

Then came the negotiations for the patches.

Goldberg offered 75. Padaetz needed 100.

He promised he would return any leftovers.

After the tournament Goldberg never relented on getting the leftover patches back.

As it turned out, Padaetz never returned them all -- until Saturday night.

"It has been bothering me for 18 years," he said.

After making his speech at the podium, Padaetz walked over to Goldberg’s table, got down on his knees.

"I hope you will forgive me," Padaetz said. "I give you these two patches back."

A quick video was shown as Oceanside youth teams shouted, "Thanks Joe!"

Speaking for the club, Padaetz gave Joe and Miriam Goldberg his and her time pieces.

"It would be difficult for us to encapsulate your devotion, your 48 years, your passion," he said. "Time is a valuable possession."

After having heaps of praise on him and receiving trophies, mementos and gifts, Goldberg finally got an opportunity to speak.

Age and a stroke has limited how quickly he can move and sometimes talk, but he made his point.

Goldberg said one of his goals "was one important thing. I wanted to see soccer succeed in the United States. To that extent I made my primary objective to get the sport accepted by the United States. To a certain degree we have [reached] that [objective].

"I think eventually the sport will be more popular."

Goldberg certainly held up his end of the bargain.
 

On Thursday April 14th, the LISFL President Bruce Friedman hosted a dinner honoring Joe Goldberg, long time servant of the LISFL. Joe recently announced that he and his wife Miriam would be spending their next years of retirement in the more peaceful surrounds of central Connecticut. Most of the LISFL Executive Board were in attendance for the occasion at the Mio Posto restaurant in Oceanside, New York. While many of the tributes to Joe made reference to his outspoken nature and feisty temperament, all agreed and praised his lifetime devotion and promotion of soccer in the USA. Joe has been involved in soccer on Long Island since the 1950’s, as a player, as a referee, as a coach and as an administrator. Joe founded the Oceanside United Soccer Club, and is a Life Member of both the LISFL and the ENYSSA. He is also a member of the Eastern NY Soccer Hall of Fame. While the members of the LISFL will miss Joe, his guidance and sensibility, it’s a fairly good bet that players on some soccer field in Connecticut will soon receive the benefit of his years of experience. They would do well to heed his advice on the first time of asking! Good Luck, Joe.

Open Cup qualifying: Only New York, Philly remain after USASA Region I quarterfinals

After a weekend of quarterfinal action, the USASA’s Region I, which covers the northeastern part of the country, has reached it’s final four. With victories on Sunday, May 1, three New York-based clubs and a Philadelphia team have put themselves one win away from qualifying for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

The Brooklyn Italians defeated Go Soccer FC 1-0 and will face newcomers Fenerbahce USA in the semifinals. Fenerbahce survived a wild match with Danbury United and advance on penalty kicks. Meanwhile, the United German Hungarians defeated Charm City FC 3-1 to set up a match with the historic club, New York Pancyprian Freedoms. The Freedoms needed extra time to eliminate D.C.’s Aegean Hawks, 2-1. The semifinal matches are scheduled to be played on Sunday, May 23, with the winners qualifying for the US Open Cup. Fenerbahce USA is the only club of the four who has never qualified for the tournament, with the other three having either won the tournament (Brooklyn: 1991; New York: 1980, 1982, 1983), or finished as a runner-up (UGH: 1977, 1993; Brooklyn: 1979, 1981, 1990).

After a crazy back and forth match, it would take penalty kicks to separate Fenerbahce USA of Eastern New York and Connecticut’s Danbury United. Fenerbahce, competing in US Open Cup qualifying for the first time, would emerge victorious in the tiebreaker after finishing extra time tied at 4-4.

Fenerbahce USA scored two goals in the first ten minutes of the match, but before the game got out of hand, Danbury answered with two goals of their own before halftime. The two clubs couldn’t break the deadlock in regulation, but in overtime, it was the first half all over again. Fenerbahce scored twice, and it looked like they were going to walk away with the match, but, once again, the Connecticut club retaliated with two goals to tie the game back up in the final minutes of extra time to send the match into a penalty kick shootout.

Jose Batista scored two of the goals for Fenerbahce, with Keith Detelj and Frank Alesci adding one each.

Fenerbahce USA will host fellow New York club, the Brooklyn Italians, in a battle of the old and the new. Brooklyn won the tournament in 1991 and finished runner-up three times, while this is brand new to Fenerbahce, who was founded in 2001.

 As summer draws closer many teams are finishing their game schedules, many former players are returning from college. For some, it may be the last year for the team in league competition, for others fond memories of their former team. All the joys of playing with the team  is about to be lost for all time. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to keep the team together for a few more years?

       Well you can! The Long Island Soccer Football League is about to begin its Ryder Vass U-23 Summer Tournament. It’s the perfect venue to keep your team together. We expect to start in May and end by the end of July, teams play once during the week and once on Sunday. Every team is guaranteed a minimum of 6 games.

       The competition is outstanding! Some of the best college players can be found competing in the tournament. If you are interested in finding out more about the tournament call:

2011 LISFL RYDER VASS TOURNAMENT RULES

Enrolling a Team

An application to enter a team in the Ryder Vass Tournament can be obtained by:

a) Call or visit the LISFL office during office hours. The office is located at 95 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Hicksville, NY, 11801. Telephone (516) 433-1880.

The fee for entering a junior team affiliated with ENYYSA or a senior team affiliated with ENYSASA is $400. The fee for entering a non-affiliated team is $500.

All tournament teams must be fully insured by the ENYYSA (junior teams) or ENYSSA (Adult Teams) A junior league team with all junior players- players who are registered to a club in a league affiliated with ENYYSA for the Spring 2010 season, that adds even one (or more) senior player-A player over the age 19 or a player who is U-19 but was not registered for the Spring 2010 season, becomes a senior team and must be affiliated with a senior club to pay $400. If not affiliated with a senior club, the fee for the team is $500.

The application must be completed with a check for the full amount made out to the LISFL and sent to

After the enrollment form has been received registration materials will be mailed out or can be picked up at the LISFL during normal office hours.

The enrollment form and registration materials may also be picked up at the Tournament Meeting which will be held at the LISFL office, Wednesday, June 8^th, 2011 at 8:00 P.M. To receive your registration packet you must bring your check to the Tournament Meeting. Call the LISFL office or Bruce Friedman if you require directions to the league office.

A home field is required to enter the tournament. Teams may be accepted into the tournament without a home field on a case-by-case basis, with the approval of the tournament chairman.

The last day to register a team in the tournament is June 25^th, 2011. Teams that are conditionally accepted after that date must pay $550.
