Former LISFL President Joe Rietschlin Passed away on Wed 10-26-12

Joe Rietschlin became the 9th and 11th President in 1978-83 and from 1984-92.

In honor of his hard work with the summer U-23 League, the O-30 League, player

for Grumman for many years, the O-30 Cup was named the Joe Rietschlin Cup.

Former Long Island Soccer Football League president Joe Rietschlin passed away on Wedneday.

He was 78.

Rietschlin served as president for 13 years, the most in LISFL history.

The former Bethpage, N.Y. resident served over two terms. His first tenure lasted from 1978-1983, his second from 1984-1992.

He is survived by his wife Maryann and children Alisa and Steven Kahane, his grandchilren Brian, Melissa and Andrew, brothers Robert and Mark and sisters Rosemary Kanney and Ruth Kehres.
